I was going to hike in Groose Mountain, at a 40 minutes bus distance from Samuel’s place. I saw someone training alone at tennis. I thought that for sure he has another racket, so I might play some tennis. I was right. Dominique is 21 years old, and a lot of his services put the ball into the net that I had difficulties to get back the ball. He lives 2 minutes from the tennis court. He beat me really bad, but we had some very good exchanges.

He had spoken with a friend to hike to Groose mountain, so it was perfect. I join them and we went on a not marked trail.

There is the culture of bbq, friends gather after work.

There are several resto/bar streets. The beer is expensive, I would say the double price as in Belgium, plus taxes and tip of 15% … I would stick with the bbq and private parties. And the style of the bars is posh, with loud music.

Vancouver is a very diverse city. Just crossing the street, and there might be important changes in the style, quality of houses. My best part of the city is next to Stanley park.

This year was a big draught here, more than 100 days without rain. Due to this, people cannot use automatic watering systems. I have never seen so many vegetable gardens in a city.
